Our sauna experience
Our Finnish-style sauna experience, nestled within a small woodland space, is designed to support your wellbeing through the simple, restorative ritual of heat and stillness.
Relax in the warmth of the sauna before stepping outside to sit beneath the canopy of trees. For an invigorating contrast, move between the heat of the sauna and the refreshing drench bucket, or rinse under the outdoor copper shower.
At the heart of the experience is löyly, the rising steam created when water meets hot stones, enhanced with organic aromatherapy to deepen its sensory and restorative effects. We also incorporate salt inhalations and gentle whisking, a traditional ritual using birch or oak branches to softly tap, sweep and revitalise the skin.
After your sauna, enjoy refreshments served from our shepherd’s hut and take your time to soak in the views.

For hikers and ramblers:
There’s direct access via the South Downs Way (the Southease or Rodmell to Falmer path follows the main ridge with superb views).
By road:
From the Ashcombe roundabout heading towards Brighton on the A27, turn sharply left between Starbucks and the Esso garage. On-street parking is about a 5-minute walk away (full details will be sent after booking). Walk up the concrete lane, go under the railway bridge, and follow the sign for The Grain Store up the bridleway. The Grain Store is through the large wooden gates on your left, but continue 200m further up the track to find the sauna gate.
